A man showed up at an Elgin hospital with gunshot wounds Monday evening, but nobody knows where or how the injury was sustained.
This is the 20th gunfire incident in Elgin this year.
At about 9:30 p.m., Elgin police officers responded to an area hospital for a subject who arrived with injuries reported from a shooting incident. At this time, it is unknown where the incident occurred.
Detectives from the Special Investigations Division are actively investigating the case, and updates will be provided as they become available.
