The golfers of Aurora have called Phillips Park Golf Course their home course since 1927. Located on the far east side of Aurora, Phillips Park GC has not only been a favorite of the golfers of Aurora, but also to avid golfers of the Fox River Valley. The golf course has gone through a few changes over the years. But one thing that has not changed is the commitment from the City of Aurora and their golf staff in providing golfers the best conditioned and challenging golf course in the Fox River Valley at an affordable price. In July of 2001, Phillips Park Golf Course re-opened after a major renovation performed by Aurora native and local golf course architect Greg Martin. The 18-hole course boast large greens, strategically placed bunkers, continuous carts paths, driving range and a 3-hole short course resulting in a quality championship caliber golf course.
With four sets of tees, the golf course ranges from 4,760 yards to 6,200 yards, providing a wide range of challenge for varying abilities. The 18-hole layout consist of two distinct nines. The front nine is a links style layout with wide open fairways, but strategically positioned fairway and greenside bunkers. The hilly back nine consists of tree lined fairways strategically placed bunkers guarding the greens making the back nine at Phillips Park the most challenging.
What separates Phillips Park Golf Course from other facilities is that it boasts a 3-hole short course perfect for the golfer who is just learning the game, the junior golfer who is aspiring to be the next tour player or for the golfer who is short on time and just wants to walk a few holes and take a few swings.
Phillips Park Golf Course is a proud supporter of the “Youth on Course” program providing accessibility and affordability to junior golfers of Aurora and the Fox River Valley.

Phillips Park Golf Course is proud to be designated as a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for golf courses by Audubon International.
The City of Aurora is re-investing back into the golf course. The golf course will be installing two indoor golf simulators providing the golfer the opportunity to play or practice as well as offer PGA golf instruction year-round. GPS is also planned to be installed on the new golf cart fleet. These are just a few of the new amenities being introduced in 2022.
