Kim is an artist, open-minded and open-hearted.
She is an artist and photographer who expresses her artwork in the form of intuitive painting, collage, figure drawing, ink painting, textile design and fine art photography. This includes the use of a variety of mediums such as acrylic paint, pastel, oil sticks, glass, rice paper, sumie style inks and watercolor techniques.
Often finding the inspiration from within, she contemplates her life experiences and releases her true self on the canvas. Kim’s experience gives her serene artwork a meaningful story—and links within love and compassion, Mother Nature and intuition.
This journey has led Kim to so many inspiring human connections—enabling her to share artistic experiences with others. Feeling a connection with creative and positive people—inspired by their uplifting spirit. She is a suburban artist currently living in Aurora, also working on a project photographing local artists in their art studios.
“I am dedicated to connecting nature and the human experience, with a priority to always create a genuine representation of what I see and feel in the moment,” Sowa says. “Discovering the vast array of art in nature has been my outlet for healing and empowerment. My goal is to inspire other individuals to follow their own inner calling and passions. I believe that through self-love and acceptance, your purpose in life can be ignited when you come to terms with the past and move forward on the path that is true to yourself.”
Kim will have some of her art on display until April 23rd along with other local artists at a new gallery, Indie Art Park, opening in Warrenville. The gallery grand opening is April 9th. https://www.indieartpark.com/
