Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with Thursday’s shooting incident near the Elgin Sports Complex.
A subject was hospitalized as a result of the shooting.
After investigating the incident, a 25-year-old Chicago man and a 29-year-old Elgin man were arrested and charged after a review of the facts of the case by the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Both men were charged with:
- Attempted First Degree Murder (Class X felony)
- Aggravated Battery with a Firearm (Class X felony)
- Armed Robbery with a Firearm (Class X felony)
The accused men appeared in bond call this morning where their bonds were set at $750,000 (10% to apply), respectively. Their next court appearance is set for Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 305 of the Kane County Judicial Center.
