A lot is going on at St. Charles’ Hotel Baker these days.
First it was the announcement of the Netflix production of The Killer, starring Award-winning actor Michael Fasbender (of X-Men fame) and Oscar-winner Tilda Swinton (Chronicles of Narnia), coming to film at the hotel in March.
Next, the hotel’s sophisticated ROX City Grille is launching a new menu beginning next week, featuring an emphasis on small plate items and greater variety.
Finally, this weekend the venerable landmark will be hosting its annual Wedding Showcase, an open house event designed to highlight not only the hotel as an ideal wedding venue but also the numerous supporting vendors necessary to make that special day perfect.
The Showcase will be held from Noon to 2:00pm in the hotel. Attendees are encouraged to view the ballrooms, guest rooms and suites, meet the hotel staff and preferred vendors, and obtain information about wedding packages.
Vendors in attendance will cover the full range of services, from music to florists, from photographers to dress designers.
The Showcase is free of charge, although RSVPs (630.584.2100) are appreciated to ensure a pleasant experience is had by all.
