The Elgin Fringe Festival is a visual and performing arts festival, featuring magic, dance, comedy, drama, music, and the undefined, all in downtown Elgin. The 8th annual festival will be held in-person and virtually in 2021, so you can fringe from anywhere.
Now headed into its 8th year, the Elgin Fringe Festival is first come, first served; uncurated; uncensored; and 100% back to the artists.
The festival kicks off Friday, September 3 with the opening of the EFF Visual Art, continues on Saturday, September 4 with our annual Family Fringe, and brings it home the next weekend with over 50 performances downtown Elgin and online.
Single tickets are free, $5, or $10.
Early Bird Festival Passes are $65 and include your EFF button and access to all in-person virtual performances.
A $3 EFF button is required to attend all performances and events. The button supports the festival, while 100% of ticket and art sales go back to the artists. Tickets must be picked up at Fringe Central (Side Street Studio Arts – 15 Ziegler Ct., downtown Elgin) and cannot be picked up at the performance venue.
Properly worn masks will be required at all indoor in-person events. No exceptions.
2021 buttons, posters, and merch, designed by Artist Kerri Liu will be available online and at MADE at Side Street Studio Arts.
The mission of the Elgin Fringe Festival is to encourage bold artistic experimentation and innovation by providing an accessible, affordable experience for both artists and audiences alike.
