The Aurora Police Department is investigating an apparent murder-suicide on the city’s west side on Friday afternoon.
Just after 12:30 p.m., officers were called to the 2100 block of Kensington Place for reports of suspicious activity. Due the circumstances and the information received by dispatch, officers immediately setup a perimeter around the home and asked neighbors to remain inside their homes. Members of APD’s Special Response Team (SRT) were requested to the scene.
A short time later, SRT entered the home and found two people dead inside.
Detectives responded to the scene and began investigating the incident. As the investigation unfolded, detectives learned this incident was an apparent murder-suicide.
There is no threat to the community.
