Georgia Rae has been playing the violin since age 5, but no one in her family loves to practice as much as she does. To scratch her itch to play constantly she worked her way up and through the contest fiddling circuit until she turned 18. (See her contest achievements listed below).
When she had enough of contests and classic fiddle tunes Georgia wanted to expanded her horizons and so she started to experiment with a loop pedal. Inspired by the ability to build her own sound she fiddled all night and into the early morning writing tunes and developing her own style. This opened the door for the fiddler to play her own one woman show! Georgia Rae’s music and love for life is infectious and it shines through the music she creates.
Come to a loopy show and you will leave humming her tunes that you cannot get out of your head.
The family has played and traveled together since 2011. Georgia Rae is the 2016 National Twin Fiddle Champion (NOTFA, ID) and a state grand champion 7 times (IL, WI, MN) and a state twin fiddle champion 5 times (CO, MN).
Concerts are at Mundy Park, just adjacent to The Venue, at 21-23 South Broadway in Aurora.
