The City of Elgin’s Concert in the Park series will present Saturday June Band this Tuesday, July 13, at 7:00 at the Wing Park band shell in Elgin.
Have you ever had one of those nights where you’re sitting with your friends, drink in hand, deep in conversation … and suddenly your focus is completely pulled toward the music you hear… sometimes it’s the familiarity of the tunes or the sudden connection you have to lyrics you’re hearing for the first time. But behind it all is sheer passion from the musicians doing what they love.
Crawford’s Daughter provides you that experience. This acoustic group tackles songs from artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Susan Tedeschi, Rolling Stones, Sheryl Crow, Marvin Gaye, The Pretenders, Little Big Town, Heart, Al Green and more. Crawford’s Daughter delivers fiery guitar, powerful vocals, creative bass lines, and 4-part harmony to bring you unplugged versions of some of the greatest rock, blues, and soul tunes ever written.
Most Tuesday nights in June and July feature live music right here in Elgin with the annual summer concerts in the park series. All concerts are free of charge. Families are encouraged to bring picnic food or treats, as well as bug spray, lawn chairs & blankets to enjoy the live music. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. at the Wing Park Bandshell.
