Elgin’s popular Summer Concerts In The Park series continues tonight at Wing Park in Elgin.
Tonight’s performance is by Classical Blast, a unique sextet that blurs musical lines, melding classical music into classic rock hits or rocking music by Beethoven, Bach and composers from other centuries, sometimes adding original lyrics. From Bach to classic rock to metal to pop, listeners will find their approach to music a refreshing change.
The show begins at 7pm and will take place at Wing Park, which is located at 1010 Wing Street in Elgin.
Summer Concerts in the Park take place almost all Tuesday nights in June and July. All concerts are free of charge, but remember to bring a few dollars to purchase popcorn and other treats from one of the local Elgin non-profits, as well as lawn chairs & blankets to enjoy the live music. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. at the Wing Park Bandshell.
