    Two hits. That’s it.

That was all the Cubs lineup could manage against Atlanta starter Ian Anderson and two relievers in a 5-0 shutout in Atlanta.

The highlight of the game was a towering 481-foot bomb by Atlanta’s Ronald Acuna, Jr. in the bottom of the fifth against Cubs starter Trevor Williams. Williams, who gave up a run-scoring double to Braves’ second baseman Ozzie Albies later in the fifth, pitched a solid 5 innings, giving up only the two runs.

But reliever Brandon Workman gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to seal the deal for Atlanta.

The Cubs, who played without Kris Bryant and Javy Baez – both out due to injury – complete their three-game set with Atlanta today.
