Sox starter Carlos Rodon went 5 shaky innings but got a win after his near-perfect game last Wednesday as the Chicago White Sox outlasted the Cleveland Indians 8-5 in chilly Progressive Field.
The Sox took the lead in the 3rd with an RBI groundout by 2nd baseman Nick Madrigal and never relinquished it, holding on late as the Indians scored 3 runs in the last 2 innings.
The Sox brought the heavy lumber, blasting 4 home runs, with designated hitter Carlos Abreu hitting 2, and shortstop Tim Anderson and catcher Yasmani Grandal both hitting 1.
The Sox play the Tribe again tonight in Cleveland.
