City of Elgin Golf Courses to Open with Limited Services May 1

Elgin’s award winning golf courses to re-open under strict safety guidelines provided under State’s new Executive Order, effective May 1

The City of Elgin’s golf courses, including Bowes Creek Country Club, The Highlands of Elgin and Wing Park Golf Course, will open to the public with limited services on May 1. Tee times bookings will go live on respective golf course websites at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 29.

The City of Elgin has implemented operational plans for its three golf courses consistent with the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) released golf operational restrictions effective 6:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1 as part of Governor Pritzker’s Stay at Home Order Extension.

No walk-in reservations are allowed. Book your reservations via the GolfElgin App or golf course websites. You can not book a tee time without prepayment. Phone payments can be made by calling the respective golf shop. Upon arrival, an outside service staff member will verify your name and confirm prepayment is received before directing golfer(s) to the first tee. Rates are dynamically priced. Check the websites for cost and availability.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience during this extremely difficult time,” said Director of Golf Operations Mike Lehman, “we look forward to golfers enjoying a little bit of normalcy this spring.”

    • Players must maintain safe social distancing of six feet apart from others.
    • The first tee time is subject to change daily.
    • Beginning May 1, cart paths are for golf operations only. Walking, running and biking by the general public is prohibited.
