Naper Settlement hosts cider booth at Christkindlmarket Naperville

Naper Settlement is proud to announce that it will host the sole suburban location of the beloved outdoor German market, Christkindlmarket Naperville, for the next three years.

This year, Naper Settlement will have a booth selling hot cider, cider gift sets and money-saving coupon books to benefit the museum’s education and preservation programs. The market will be open from Nov. 24 till Dec. 24. The hours of the market are Thursdays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The week of Christmas, the hours will change to Dec. 18 to Dec. 21 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Dec. 22 and 23 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Dec. 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Christkindlmarket Naperville will be located at 523 South Webster St., Naperville, IL.

“Last year we saw an incredible influx of visitors in just 21 days— visiting the market, our museum and downtown area, with almost three-quarters coming from outside of Naperville,” said Naper Settlement’s Chief Operating Officer, Harriet Pistorio. “We could not be more excited to host Christkindlmarket Naperville this holiday season, and to have our own hot cider booth to benefit our museum’s mission.”

Modeled after Germany’s renowned outdoor market in Nuremberg, Christkindlmarket Naperville is expanding to feature 43 vendors and three walk-in cabins, and will include some local businesses, such as Le Chocolate du Bouchard, Wooden Skirt and SaraBoo Creek.

When visiting the market, don’t forget to stop by Naper Settlement’s booth to purchase a delicious cup of hot, non-alcoholic cider for the entire family. There will also be cider gift sets available, perfect for your next holiday party, and a $5 coupon book with discounts to a variety of Downtown Naperville stores and restaurants. Purchases at the booth will raise funds to go towards the museum’s programming.

This holiday season, be sure to come to Naper Settlement to experience Naper Lights, a magical light display presented by the Sunrise Rotary Club of Naperville, sign up your child to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus at our Santa @ the Settlement program on Nov. 25 and Dec. 2, 9 & 16, or receive a guided tour of our holiday adorned Martin Mitchell Mansion at our Victorian Holiday Traditions program taking place on Dec. 3.
