Eggstra! Eggstra! Read All About It!
Join the St. Charles Park District for the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8 at 10am. Staff will be placing 18,000 eggs in Pottawatomie Park, 8 North Avenue, for the big event.
Children, ages 9 and under, start lining up at 9:45am. Participants meet at the entrance gate to the River View Miniature Golf Course. Parents are asked to keep children behind all lines and wait for the signal in order to avoid false starts and to be fair to everyone. This program is for the following age groupings: 2 & under with parent, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-9. Participants are asked to bring their own baskets to collect the eggs; please limit your child to 10 eggs. Remember to bring your camera, too.
Thanks is extended to all the volunteers who helped stuff more than 18,000 eggs with candy and prize coupons: Daisy Troop 66, Brownie Troop 1358, Girl Scout Troops 4083 and 242, the St. Charles Mother's Club, Heinz Brothers Greenhouse, School District 303’s On the Job Training Students, Marklund School Volunteers and the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association's Stars and Daybreak Programs.
Special thanks to Meijer, Culvers, Abby’s Restaurant, McAlister’s Deli and Nestle who helped to make this annual event a great success! Without their support, the Park District could not offer this free event to the community.
