Dining In Wheaton

Four Favorite Venues

A stylish, comfortable atmosphere featuring art deco mosaic chandeliers, warm copper accents, soothing decor colors & a cozy fireplace welcomes you to Adelle's. In the summertime, don't miss dining on the tranquil, attractive ivy covered wall outdoor patio. Located in the heart of the western suburbs just blocks from Wheaton College's performance center and close to College of DuPage, Adelle's is not only the perfect neighborhood spot, but also a central gathering place for friends to meet before concerts.

Why can't a restaurant have great food, a stylish atmosphere, attentive service, be close to home, and be affordable for every day dining?  That has been Adelle's mission from the beginning, and almost five years later, we still work hard every day to ensure our guests' enjoyment and approval. Come see for yourself why Adelle's is one of the highest rated restaurants in the area and was unanimously praised on WTTW's Check, please. Fine American bistro fare is what's on the menu and delightful dining is what's in store. Please visit our website for information on our menu, daily specials, wine list, live music events, and more at www.adelles.com.

The Bank
The Bank Restaurant recently celebrated its 1 year anniversary.     Located in the heart of downtown Wheaton, The Bank is housed in one of Wheaton's oldest and most storied buildings. Built in 1875 the building was the original site of the Gary Wheaton Bank (today Chase Bank). The building at 121 West Front Street has been the scene of many memorable times since its construction by Wheaton founding fathers Jesse C. Wheaton and Elbert Gary. Colorful historical figures like football legend Red Grange and Colonel Robert R. McCormick were frequent visitors to the building.

The menu, courtesy of chef Patrick Cassata (Eclectic, 10 West, Spa Café) offers dishes both standard (calamari, crab cakes, steaks, burgers) and less conventional (Hawaiian purple sweet potato soup, wild boar taquitos, venison of the day). The diversity of the menu has offerings for everyone at various price levels.  The Bank can support your group size for dinner or special group functions in our private Vault area.  Visit our website at www.thebankwheaton.com to make a reservation or view our party areas or feel free to give us a call at 630-665-Bank(2265).

Café Galicia
Galicia is a northwest region in Spain which enjoys a rather nice ocean coastline and simple, fresh seafood cuisine which has been transported to Wheaton in the dining experience available at Cafe Galicia.

dining_wheaton_galacia.gifOur Spanish cuisine is divided into hot and cold tapas, with a mixture of paellas which can be topped off with eye opening desserts all presented in a comfortable and stylish open space with large storefront windows. A variety of  sandwiches are available for lunch and don't forget to take a look at our wine list.

While the waves may not be lapping at our doors, you'll be diving into some freshly caught seafood. So stop in at 230 W. Front St. in Wheaton from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm Monday-Thursday, and 11:30 am to 9 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  630-682-0664

Suzette’s Creperie
A little off Main Street, past Hale on Front Street (211 W. Front) lies a hidden gem in Wheaton's restaurant community.  Suzette's Creperie is small but cozy, busy yet attentive.  From an outdoor cart selling crepes at the French market and other outdoor venues to a single store front with eight tables and a blackboard menu, Suzette's has grown into a bustling place of commerce. Adding a second store front to expand her dining room, a lush outdoor patio, a French-inspired Bakery and an award -winning wine bar, has not changed the heart of  Suzette's.  Providing a dining experience including great food, a gentle ambience, friendly service and a carefully selected wine list, has been the goal of Suzette's from day one to the present.

The menu has expanded from crepes to bistro fare.  The French-inspired bakery has grown from providing  wonderful pastries to including a line of readily available savory treats such as a French Muffelatta, Croque Monseiur, Tartines and delicious soups and other hot entrees to be taken out. Check out Suzette's website for the next exciting chapter:  www.suzettescreperie.com.
