Sara’s Sicilian Green Beans

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Flag Day, Water Street Studios is looking for artwork inspired by the American Flag.

Total Time: 10 min

Servings: 6

What You Need

3 TBSP safflower/sunflower Oil

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp chili powder

2 tsp coriander

1 tsp lemon pepper

1 tsp black pepper

2 TBSP fresh minced garlic

1 Lb French cut green beans

14 oz can organic fire roasted tomatoes

1/4 cup lemon herb marinade/dressing

 

What You Do

Beans:

Add oil to heated cast iron skillet (med heat) and simmer about 1 minute

Add paprika, chili powder, coriander, lemon pepper, black pepper and minced garlic

Saute about 1-2 minutes or until garlic starts to tan

Add Green beans and cook until al dente, about 3-5 minutes (to speed this up, add a tsp water to a lid and pour water into pan, lid on- this will steam the beans)

Add canned tomatoes and lemon herb dressing, simmer 2 minutes
