The 11th annual Naperville Wine Festival presented by Calamos Investments and Continental Audi will draw large crowds to Naperville’s CityGate Centre, located at the intersection of I-88 and Route 59, this August 23-24.

More than 300 wines will be available as well as the Belgian Beer Café featuring Stella Artois, Leffe and Hoegaarden, all in addition to a wonderful selection of Goose Island products.

The event, expected to draw more than 8,000 attendees over the two days, is an excellent opportunity for wine lovers to learn to taste, judge and pair wines with their favorite foods. More than eight of the area’s best restaurants will be on-site selling their signature dishes.

The BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois Entertainment Stage will feature wine seminars by experts in the field as well as live music. Lloyd Dobler Effect, hailing from the Washington, DC area, will perform two sets on Friday and Chicago festival legends Underwater People and national jazz performer Erin Bode will take the stage Saturday.

“Naperville has always been an exceptionally welcoming environment, and we’re thrilled to bring the Naperville Wine Festival back for an 11th consecutive year,” said Scott Janess, organizer of the Naperville Wine Festival. “Calamos Investments, Continental Audi of Naperville and our other sponsors have been excellent partners, and Naperville residents are always ready to celebrate wine and expand their wine knowledge.”

Tickets are $29 in advance, $35 at the door. All tickets are good for 1-day admission and are rain or shine. Tickets include 12 one-ounce wine samples, one pint of the beer of your choice, musical entertainment and wine demonstrations. A portion of the proceeds from the event will help support the Naperville Area Humane Society. Event hours are 4-10 p.m. on Friday and 2-8 p.m. on Saturday.
