Hundreds sink teeth into downtown Aurora dining
With lobster-stuffed potato skins, shepherd’s pie, veggie quesadillas, wild mushroom risotto, roasted beef brisket and Pina Colada Tres Leches Cake, dinner was sure to be divine.
“We started our dinner with Irish chips and a sampler of chicken boxty, corned beef and cabbage, and shepherd’s pie, which we think are delicious,” said Anderson Lee, enjoying the cuisine at Ballydoyle Irish Pub & Restaurant with his wife, Kathie Kapustka, and their 3-year old son, Jacob.
On Tuesday, the ninth annual Downtown Aurora Taste gave people a chance to sample menu delicacies from nine downtown restaurants: America’s Historic Roundhouse, Ballydoyle Irish Pub & Restaurant, Cazadores, Comfort Zone BBQ, Julio’s Grill, La France Bakery, River’s Edge Café, Tecalitlan and Chef Amaury at 33 West.
The Aurora couple said they want to see the downtown succeed, plus it is a chance to support a charitable cause, as well as taste the different cuisines Aurora’s restaurants have to offer.
