Geneva pub has brews for aficionados and the adventuresome.

"Arrogant Bastard Ale is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth."

These are the words on Geneva Ale House's beer menu that describe Arrogant Bastard Ale. Pretty darn arrogant, hmm? But that is the point -- the ale is speaking to you, and daring you to try it. Are you game?

And there are 11 other craft beers on tap at the Ale House that are equally as tempting, such as "He'Brew Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A." from California (a double India pale ale with rye malt brewed in tribute to Lenny Bruce), "Founders Breakfast Stout" from Michigan (the coffee lover's consummate beer as it is brewed with oats, chocolate and coffee), and "Boulder Mojo Risin' Double IPA from Colorado (a summer seasonal brew with grapefruit-like aroma and flavor).

Unlike other pubs in the area, Geneva Ale House, owned by Geneva resident Brian Harrington, specializes in craft and small brewery beers. In addition to 12 draft beers that he changes frequently, he offers about 120 bottled beers, tapping 90 different brewers from California, New York, Michigan, Wisconsin, Maine, Colorado, Germany and Belgium. He has everything from stouts to lagers, India pale ales to pilsners, porters, wheats, ambers and red, brown, Scottish, Belgian ales.
