The dining will be fine Italian from old family recipes, the decor definitely Old World – but at reasonable prices.

Milano Italian Ristorante & Banquets at 40W188 Campton Crossings Drive, Campton Hills, is pegged for a late May opening, says owner Joe Milano, Jr. The upscale Italian eatery will be located in the former Hopper’s Bar B Que, which closed in December 2009.

“I will be having home-cooked meals from old family recipes, from my grandmother,” Milano, 60, said.

“Her lasagna recipe she brought from Naples. She always put hunks of meatballs or pieces of meat from neck bones and baked it on top. If she was still alive, she’d be 110.”
