Streets of Chicago can host your party

The most magnificent thing about the Streets of Chicago Sports Bar and Grill isn't the warm, friendly atmosphere.

It isn't the new lobster tank or the giant-screen TVs.

The best part of the Elgin eatery isn't even visible when you walk in the door. In owner Arnold Reisler's opinion, the best thing about his restaurant is the banquet room in the basement.

"It's a very strange place," he said. "If you walk in the bar, from the street level, it looks like a regular tavern. You know, we have 24 TVs, two giant screens, pool tables -- a regular tavern. But downstairs, is an upscale banquet hall. It's just beautiful; my wife designed it. It holds 120 people."

Along one wall is a 62-foot mural hand-painted by an artist from the Art Institute.
