With a menu featuring salads, burgers, char broiled dinners, pasta and, among other eats, omelets, Gabby’s Kitchen aims to be a family restaurant that has something for everyone.

The restaurant, 1650 W. Main St., is across from the Valley Shopping Center on the site of the former Springview Restaurant, which closed in March 2008.

But it won’t look anything like the former restaurant.

The building is undergoing its first major renovation under the Sellas family’s 25-year ownership, manager Angelo Sellas said.

“It was time to change the look, offer something nicer to the town,” he said.

Construction began in late November and is on schedule for a late April opening, he said.

Walking through the building, Sellas explained crews finished insulating the walls and are preparing to install drywall.
