Authentic Mexican dishes boost Rito's menu

Rito Huizar is betting that if his authentic Mexican cuisine doesn't get you in the door, maybe the 27-ounce, $5 margaritas and sangrias will do the trick.

Huizar is the owner of Rito's, a casual Mexican restaurant that for the last year has filled the location formerly occupied by Cocina Barro. It's a "give the customers what they want" kind of place, manager George Martinez says, where the carne asada and steak and chicken fajitas may be the most popular items on the menu, but the Thursday night margarita and Friday night sangria specials are proving to be just as appealing.
