Bulldog's: New owners for an old favorite

Al Soboj and Jim Boyle are two very nice guys. They've been friends since they were teenagers and have owned several businesses together. "We're more like family," says Boyle, and it shows. As of June 3, the partners are the new owners of Chicago Char House in downtown Batavia, having since changed the name to Bulldog's Red Hots. They were looking for a restaurant in a community-oriented town, and they found it in Batavia.

"We'd love to sponsor a team, we want to be involved in the schools' fundraising and help teachers," says Boyle. Both men love people, and enjoy talking and getting to know their customers. Besides the food, particularly the Italian beef, which is getting rave reviews from customers, their hope is that people will come in because "they want to talk to Jim and Al," says Soboj.
