Chianti's -- A labor of love

Something interesting happened on Third Street in Geneva recently. For those who love their pasta and rich Italian sauces, the original Chianti's restaurant has returned, with the same menu, the same chef, but in a new location and with a new owner -- the chef himself, Jeff Woods.

It's a love story really, in more ways than one. Woods worked at Restorante Chianti, which was in business from 1985 until 2004. And then it got sold, and then changed, and then disappeared. But longtime Batavia resident Jeff Woods didn't. He stayed in the area and started a landscaping business. However, cooking was his first love and he didn't give up on the idea of owning his own restaurant.
