If you love pizza and like to get up early, Saturday morning could be for you what the day after Thanksgiving is for deal-hungry shoppers.

I am giving away free food to the first 50 people that walk into the doors for one year. I have promoted this in the Elgin area and have received very positive feedback,” said Pat Useni, who is opening Arvati’s Pizza, 1350 E. Chicago St. near the intersection with Shales Parkway on the city’s eastern edge.

The eatery will open at 10 a.m., and Useni expects people will wait in their cars in the shopping center’s parking lot until a line starts to form around 8 a.m. or so. Since the deal is limited to 50 people, counting will come in handy — and there will be no need for more folks than necessary to wait.
