Steel Beam Theatre Presents World Premiere of Exciting New Play

Scatter the Pigeons runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m.

Steel Beam Theatre, named “Best Live Theatre” in the Fox River Valley by the Kane County Chronicle for 8 years running, presents Scatter the Pigeons, a new World Premiere by Chicago playwright Gary McGowan running February 22nd-March 17th 2019.  Scatter the Pigeons, a new work previously presented at SBT and Chicago Dramatists Workshop in staged reading form, chronicles the life of inhabitants of the Citron Court Trailer Park when developers threaten to purchase the property and change it into a shopping mall.  Amid a thwarted birthday party and a gathering of motley, albeit endearing, characters this comedy-drama of love and loss chronicles a search for a foothold of happiness in an uncertain future.

Directed by SBT Artistic Director Marge Uhlarik-Boller, Scatter the Pigeons features an impressive array of actors from the Chicagoland area including Annie Slivinski of Forest Park, Paul Anderson of Elgin, Sara J Monteleone of Naperville, Justin Schaller of South Elgin, Bruce Worthel of North Aurora and Susan Carr of Winfield.

Steel Beam Theatre is located at 111 W Main Street in the heart of St. Charles.  Our charming second-story theatre is easily accessible from the plaza side.  Plenty of free parking and wonderful eateries are available in the immediate area.  Handicapped accessible from Main Street entrance.

Scatter the Pigeons runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m.  Tickets run $28 adults/$25 seniors/$23 for students.  The show features adult language and some violence.

Tickets are on sale immediately at www.steelbeamtheatre.com or by calling the box office at 630.587.8521.
