Kane County launches revamped website
Citing reasons of better transparency and easier access to information, Kane County has launched a new website.
County Board member Jeanette Mihalec, chairman of the Website Task Force, said that instead of just adding on content, they also needed to clean up the look of the website, which can be found at www.countyofkane.org.
Board Chairman Karen McConnaughay agreed that the choice to update the website was more for design and easier access to content, rather than adding a lot more information. She said most of the requested information already was on the old website, but it was sometimes difficult to find.
McConnaughay said in a written statement that the website’s improved content and document management systems reflects a commitment to transparency to the public.
