Public Invited to Candidate Forums
The public is invited to meet candidates vying for public office in the April 5 election at upcoming candidate forums sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Central Kane County. At each of the forums, the public will be invited to submit questions to the candidates.
The first of the forums is Sunday, Feb. 27 at 1:30 pm at the St. Charles Public Library. It will feature candidates in contested races for the St. Charles City Council and the St. Charles Library Board. There are contested aldermanic races in wards 1, 3,4, and 5. For the library board, 4 candidates are running for two positions.
Geneva candidates in contested races for city council, school board, and park board will participate in a forum on Sunday, March 6 at 1:30 pm at the Geneva Public Library. Geneva aldermanic wards 1 and 3 have contested races. For the school board, seven candidates are running for three positions. Two candidates are running for one position on the park board.
