Cupcake shop a sweet dream come true

The cupcakes and other baked goods at Sweet Dream Desserts come in fresh every morning, shipped from their own bakery in Sycamore to their new store in the Wasco area of Campton Hills.
Sweet Dream, 40W450 Route 64, is the second cupcake shop opened by Deanna and Phil Watkins. After selling 1 million cupcakes from their first location, they opened the second one late last year aiming at another million.
“It’s been a whirlwind,” Deanna Watkins said. “It was an opportunity to do a second location that was already set up like a coffee shop with a little kitchen and we are able to do it with a short distance to travel.”
